Continuous Time Individual-Level Models of Infectious Disease: Package EpiILMCT
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes the R package EpiILMCT, which allows users to study spread of infectious disease using continuous time individual level models (ILMs). The provides tools for simulation from ILMs that are based on either spatial demographic, contact network, or a combination both them, and graphical summarization epidemics. Model fitting is carried out within Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo framework. can be implemented susceptible-infected-removed (SIR) susceptible-infected-notified-removed (SIN R) compartmental frameworks. As data often partially observed, uncertainties in form missing infection times - some situations removal accounted augmentation techniques. illustrated simulated an experimental set tomato spotted wilt virus disease.

Latent conditional individual-level models for infectious disease modeling.
Individual-level models (ILMs) have previously been used to model the spatiotemporal spread of infectious diseases. These models can incorporate individual-level covariate information, to account for population heterogeneity. However, incomplete or unreliable data are a common problem in infectious disease modeling, and models that are explicitly dependent on such information may not be robust ...
متن کاملSusceptible-infectious-recovered models revisited: from the individual level to the population level.
The classical susceptible-infectious-recovered (SIR) model, originated from the seminal papers of Ross [51] and Ross and Hudson [52,53] in 1916-1917 and the fundamental contributions of Kermack and McKendrick [36-38] in 1927-1932, describes the transmission of infectious diseases between susceptible and infective individuals and provides the basic framework for almost all later epidemic models,...
متن کاملThe MicSim Package of R: An Entry-Level Toolkit for Continuous-Time Microsimulation
High entry barriers might discourage many social scientists from using existing microsimulation software. This article presents the functionality and capabilities of the free and open source R package MicSim which allows performing continuous-time microsimulation at a very fine-grained level from a low level entry point. Hence, the package might also be of interest to people who are new to R. T...
متن کاملInference for Individual-level Models of Infectious Diseases in Large Populations.
Individual Level Models (ILMs), a new class of models, are being applied to infectious epidemic data to aid in the understanding of the spatio-temporal dynamics of infectious diseases. These models are highly flexible and intuitive, and can be parameterised under a Bayesian framework via Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods. Unfortunately, this parameterisation can be difficult to implement ...
متن کاملThe impact of individual-level heterogeneity on estimated infectious disease burden: a simulation study
BACKGROUND Disease burden is not evenly distributed within a population; this uneven distribution can be due to individual heterogeneity in progression rates between disease stages. Composite measures of disease burden that are based on disease progression models, such as the disability-adjusted life year (DALY), are widely used to quantify the current and future burden of infectious diseases. ...
